A beautiful village on the banks of river Periyar. The mountain ranges that surroundes it not only render beauty to this place but also make it so comfortable and cool. It is world-renowned as a place where wild elephants are trained to pull logs and also for other domestic purposes. Even now we can see the “Ana Puttil” where these wild elephants are trained. There is a small Zoo, which attracts people of all ages. This place is about 25 km from Kothamangalam along the Kalady route.
